คAre you considering extending your SDWAN reachability towards Azure?
Good news โ itโs definitely possible and a lot of customers are already doing it! Whether you run a Hub & Spoke or a virtual WAN environment, there are three main approaches to consider๐
๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ offers a solution for extending your SDWAN overlay directly into Azure, up to virtual SDWAN appliances integrated ๐ฏ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ฆ๐ญ๐บ inside the virtual hub. This option is available for virtual WAN topologies only.

๏ธโฃ ๐๐-๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ also allow to stretch the SDWAN overlay up to virtual SDWAN appliances, here within your customer-managed VNet. This solution requires ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ถ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฐ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต and leverages BGP endpoint in virtual WAN, or the Azure Route Server (ARS) in Hub & Spoke, for dynamic route exchange. Depending on the complexity of your addressing plan, static routing may also be possible.
๏ธโฃ Finally, the ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ uses physical SDWAN appliances in the cloud edge PoP to terminate the SDWAN overlay, providing ๐ฅ๐ช๐ณ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ via ExpressRoute, for instance.
