Not that I'd be able to do much better... but that looks like ass. I think I prefer the current look of the website, as uneventful as it may seem.

We can copy the elephant, though. That one is adorable!

The contributors section is also cool, I wasn't aware that's possible. I just don't want to take the colours and the icons everywhere.

These are some other versions I've generated, and I chose this one out of a few. The elephant is a nice piece, like a greeting card, and will be placed in the box. But the gears don't seem quite right to me, and I don't know where to put them. Personally, I prefer logos with simple elements and consistent colors and themes, and anything else is acceptable, even if the color scheme is ugly.

Perhaps we could change the colour scheme to lean towards PHP's? Then just remove the unnecessary icons from this PR and it's good to go.

I agree that the first logo us the best choice for simplicity.

I have to say that your choice looks better than current one in dark mode.
