Ingester is used to create and manage content before it is committed as a referenced data blob. The code comments and documentation does not describe in detail about the Ingester interface.
The current set of available information does not have details about the interface. refer.
Similarly IngesterManager is also referenced at multiple locations but without correct docs on how it can be used.
It would be great to have this doc added to the architecture section or more details provided in the code comments to better understand the API.
