What's Changed

CometD 9.0.x requires Java 17, and it is based on Jakarta EE 11 and Jetty 12.1.x, and can be deployed in any Jakarta EE 11 compliant web application server.

Besides the differences in the deployment of CometD web applications, that now require a Jakarta EE 11 web application server, the CometD APIs are unchanged, making CometD 9 a drop-in replacement for CometD 8.

For deployment in Jetty (recommended), Jetty 12.1.x is required.
