+| API summary |Utilizing IMS Data Channel technology (specified in 3GPP TS 26.114, TS 23.228 and GSMA NG.134), 5G New Calling introduces a richer feature set natively on the mobile device, such as content sharing, interactive visual menu, etc. These new features bring a new calling experience to consumers while opening up new business possibilities for Brand/Vertical service provider. Brand/Vertical service provider can upgrade their phone customer service to 5G New Calling customer service. With the rich feature set of 5G New Calling, they can provide better service to customers and also improve service processing efficiency. The 5G New Calling API provides ability for Brand/Vertical service provider to establish 5G New Calling communications with the other party (e.g. a subscriber of MNOs or a Vertical application client). <br><br>Here are two example use cases:<br>Use Case 1:<br>Content sharing: With 5G New Calling customer service, the customer service representatives could share some relevant content with the consumers after obtaining the their permission. For example, the representatives could share an introductory video of a product in which the consumer has expressed interest, allowing the consumer to gain deeper insights into the product, or the representatives could share documents such as booking confirmations directly with the user during the call. <br><br>Use Case 2:<br>Interactive visual menu : With 5G New Calling customer service, Brand/Vertical service provider could provide customers with interactive visual menu to enrich the way customers communicate with customer service staff. Customers could query the bill through the menu, or access the electronic signature interface through the menu for signature confirmation, etc. This could improve the efficiency of customer service and enhance the customers experience.|
