When enabled, removable drives will show automatically in the menu bar stacks list. This provides easy access to USB drives, etc, which you wouldn't normally want to add permanently as a stack, as removable drive letters aren't stable.
We subscribe to device notifications to allow us to automatically detect volumes being mounted/unmounted. When the user attempts to safely remove the device, we suspend the folder change watcher in order to not prevent device removal.
