The recent Compose library changes have broken behaviors. There are many bugs that have been reported in 2024, some of which I will mention here:

• [Compose] GlideSubcomposition state is changing from Loading-Success-Loading #5418
• Glide Compose Nodes aren't displayed under createComposeRule #5498
• GlideImage no longer works with Modifier.weight() #5385
• Glide Compose ContentScale.FillWidth not work as expected #5338

Thus, we are temporarily rolling back many of the recent API changes to Glide Compose. The APIs were not performing as expected and are therefore need to be reconsidered. They will be removed in a future update to the beta branch. Apps relying on the current Glide Compose beta behavior may continue to do so by keeping the dependency on com.github.bumptech.glide:compose:1.0.0-beta01.
