On my install, when documents are created in the Docs area, users do not see there are any documents present from the group menu, so they do not know there are documents to look at. is this a bug?

In other words, for all of the other document areas for my groups, the user sitting at the group homepage can see if there is any docs or images in those areas for them to look at, but not in docs.
