What went wrong?

When opening the metadata editor from the library menu and repeatedly clicking the next book button, the page consistently gets stuck when moving across x99 boundaries.

Examples:

99 to 100
199 to 200
999 to 1000

There does not appear to be anything unusual in the logs. The page simply becomes unresponsive to input.

In some cases, the displayed number does advance to the next value, such as 100, 200, or 1000, but the UI is still stuck and no longer responds properly.

I currently can't test, bu I do not think this behaviour was observed in version 1.09.0

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a library with enough books to cross one of the affected boundaries.
2. Open the metadata editor from the library menu.
3. Keep clicking the next book button.
4. Continue until reaching a boundary such as 99 → 100, 199 → 200, or 999 → 1000.
5. Observe that the page becomes stuck or unresponsive.

Expected vs actual behavior

Expected behaviour:
The metadata editor should continue navigating normally to the next book, including across numbering boundaries such as 99 → 100, 199 → 200, and 999 → 1000.

Actual behaviour:
The metadata editor gets stuck at these boundaries. The page becomes unresponsive to input, and in some cases the number changes to the next value while the UI remains stuck.
