This way the graph better reflects the reality of what's happening, specially in cases where the variable stays for long periods with the same value, like it can be seen in the images below, one for the app frame-rate and another for a joystick button state. It can be seen, specially in the joystick button case, that when the graph does not plot repeating values, the reality of what's happening is not seen in the graph.

The behavior can be changed in the configuration of the plotter widget.

To accomplish that, the PR implements support for timestamps in the data-lake system.
