Describe the bug

Occasionally typing in chat gets sluggish with a large session. Doesn't happen every time might be something related to the chat components being rendered or the scroll interactions. Most likely a memory leak somewhere.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to chat and have a large session
2. Typing slows down and app seems unresponsive

Expected behavior
Should continue to be responsive to typing
