Rationale for this change
While working on an initial PR #7434, the changes required making some of the modules (
codec,compressionandschema) public. This resulted in clippy warnings for missing documentation.This PR is created from an initial PR #7434 (review).
What changes are included in this PR?
Only includes improvements to comments.
Are there any user-facing changes?
