I appear to be able to run the changelog generator script, I'm going to merge this, and will file a separate PR to update the changelog

Benchmark runs are scheduled for baseline = 5f40275 and contender = 0028acd. 0028acd is a master commit associated with this PR. Results will be available as each benchmark for each run completes.
