Describe the enhancement requested

In #47622 I saw that nightlies haven't been syncing for a couple of weeks. The latest nightly I see is 2025/09/26, see https://nightlies.apache.org/arrow/r/libarrow/bin/linux-openssl-3.0/. We should investigate what's going on and restore nightlies.
