Describe the problem that you experienced

I'm a beginner/intermediate Angular developer and when I first approached the NgModel class doc I read that "Creates a FormControl instance from a domain model and binds it to a form control element.".

I understood everything but the creating an instance from a domain model thing confused me, and I haven't found that term defined in the Angular glossary either.

I also tried googling and it seems to be a concept that has nothing to do with Angular, but I'm still confused.
