Old version of conventional commit causes deprecated dependency warnings #295

Describe the bug

This project uses v4.0.0 of conventional commits, current version is v7.2.0.
In the meantime some dependencies have been marked as deprecated.

Current behavior

Currently it displays a warning during installation.
CI/build health tools may pick this up.

Expected behavior

No warnings during install.

Environment

• commit-and-tag-version version(s): 12.7.3
• Node/npm version: Node 24.15.0, pnpm 11.4.0, npm 11.12.1
• OS: Windows 1q

Possible Solution

Update to the latest versions of conventional commits.
