Post Link Shortcodes is a WordPress plugin developed for the purpose of abstracting away hardcoded references to application resources such as posts, pages, attachments, or just about any other registered post type using shortcodes. This keeps things like urls and links referenced within your content always up-to date, regardless of the site's current domain, permalink structure, or any other number of factors which can change the URL to these resources.

From the beginning the shortcode was built around dynamic URLs, but it also provides support for generating the most common HTML elements that use them, such as anchors and images.
