Upgrade an Existing YAF.NET Installation

Upgrade to YAF.NET v3.2.11

STEP 1. BACKUP

BACKUP YOUR DATABASE
Backup all your existing installation YAF files

STEP 2. REMOVE

Remove the following directories from your forum root directory:

\bin
\controls
\Content
\editors
\install
\languages
\pages
\resources
\Scripts
\themes

Warning

Be careful not to delete the /images or /Uploads directory.

STEP 3. UNZIP

Unzip the file structure YAF-vX.X.X-Upgrade ZIP archive to the folder you want to run YAF to run inside. The YAF \Bin directory must be in your application root.

STEP 4. Update the Web.config

STEP 5. Auto UPGRADE

When the Application runs after the files are copied to the server, then the Database will be updated automatically.
