Improvements to the WordCamp & Events Tracker list view (sorting, ticket column, date format) #1538

Description

There are a few small improvements that would make the Central WordCamp & Events Tracker significantly more useful and efficient for program managers and supporters. These changes would help us manage upcoming events and support organizers in a more proactive way.

1. Sort events by start date (for Scheduled and In Pre-planning statuses)

Currently, the list seems to be ordered by the date the post was created (i.e., when the application was submitted). It would be much more useful if, at least for the Scheduled and In Pre-planning statuses, events were sorted by start date instead.

This would allow us to immediately see which events are happening soon and prioritize them accordingly, for example, focusing on events in the next few weeks rather than those eight months away.

For In Pre-planning events that don’t yet have a confirmed date, they could remain unsorted or listed at the bottom.

(Other statuses usually don’t have many entries or aren’t date-sensitive, so sorting isn’t necessary there.)

2. Add a “Tickets” column (for Scheduled and Closed events)

It would be extremely helpful to have a Tickets column in the list view, showing the number of tickets sold.
This could pull data directly from the event’s site via CampTix.

If possible, it could also include the expected number of attendees, which is already stored in the event post (we should update it when approving the budget, but that's our task). But the main priority would be to display tickets sold.

3. Shorten the date format

To improve readability and avoid overlapping columns on smaller screens, please consider switching the date format to yyyy-mm-dd instead of a long, localized version.

Attached: mockup example of how the two additional columns could look.

Why this matters

These small improvements would make the tracker a much more actionable tool, helping us see upcoming events at a glance, detect slow-moving pre-planning teams, and better follow ticket sales without needing to open each event site individually.
