Self-nominations are the primary way of getting into the elections list “I nominate for the Test Team Reps position.” Also other Team Members could nominate someone else “I nominate @username for the Test Team Reps position.” but the nominee must accept the nomination before the nomination period ends to be valid. Just answering to the Call for Nominations post is sufficient to nominate oneself or someone else.

Only active members of the Test Team are eligible to be nominated as Test Team Reps. An active member is someone who has done one, both, or a combination of the following activities:

Not all Test Team Reps have to be technical experts, but they should have a good understanding of the testing processes and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
