I'd like to propose to create a page/template for WordCamp websites about sustainability. This could contain information about

• tips for attendees like this
• (link to) travel information
• other things organisers have done to make the WordCamp more sustainable with regard to food and beverage, swag, ... (based on things from our handbook)

I see a couple of advantages:

• lowering the barrier of having such a page at WordCamp sites
• visibility: it could be a stand-alone page called Sustainability (thanks for sharing this, @ramonfincken)
• concise: there could be a general section and a part that is specific to the WordCamp
• translatable: it could be translated in commonly used languages as it is more concise?
• visibility for our handbook as it could be linked

We might create a pattern out of it that can be re-used and perhaps be published in the pattern library as well (although not sure about updates there).

We've been seeing other open source projects investing to surface sustainability, especially when organising events. We should definitely follow up on this (in my opinion).
