The Sensei Certificates plugin is requested by the WP Credits team.
Unfortunately the plugin appears to reserve a certificate hash for every course completion, but only generates/links-to/provides certificates when a course has a customized certificate template. (Edit: The example certificate template was auto-assigned to all courses 🤦 )
This simply optimizes it by not generating a certificate unless it's actually needed.
