Bounty: Custom Arena Maps for Xonotic RustChain

Background

Xonotic RustChain Arena needs custom maps with blockchain-themed environments. Maps should encourage the ULTRAKILL-inspired Blood Economy — aggressive play, close-range combat, and style combos.

Map Themes Wanted

Requirements

• Format: .map source file (NetRadiant/GtkRadiant compatible)
• Compiled .bsp for testing
• Player count: 4-16 players (specify intended count)
• Must include item placement (weapons, health, armor)
• Must include bot waypoints (or at least be bot-playable)
• Licensed under GPL-2+ (Xonotic compatible)
• Textures: Use Xonotic stock textures or include custom ones (GPL-compatible)

Map Design Guidelines

• Encourage aggression: Short sight lines, multiple paths, close-quarters areas
• Reward movement: Include trick jump spots, teleporters, jump pads
• Blood Economy compatible: Players should be able to chain kills without long runs between spawns
• Performance: Keep brush count reasonable (<10,000 for complex maps)

How to Submit

1. Fork Scottcjn/xonotic-rustchain
2. Add map to maps/ directory
3. Include at least 2 screenshots
4. Open a PR with map name in the title

Bonus (10 RTC extra)

• Include custom skybox matching blockchain aesthetic
• Include ambient sounds (digital hum, data processing)
