Hi @Gray-lab, thanks for offering to help with this! However I think it may be better for me to add this plot type right now. I'm half way through deprecating one Label class for another, and this plot type makes extensive use of that class so it'll be a bit confusing and a moving target for someone to create this plot type from scratch.

I'll aim to get a barebones Text plot type added today (which is important for #3039) and get it in the next NuGet release, and you're welcome to extend it or add cookbook recipes demonstrating advanced functionality.

Regarding contributing plot types, ScottPlot 4 has lots of plot types that ScottPlot 5 doesn't have yet, and I'm happy to review PRs for new ones! The ones that jump out as useful are Arrow and Marker and they should be pretty simple to implement.
