So is there a road map to .Net 6 Winforms support?

Not sure, I would turn this into an issue but I think only @swharden has the power to convert discussions to issues.

It took me an unexpectedly long time to get to this because I moved houses and it was a lot more disruptive than I predicted, then right after I got sick for several weeks. I took a closer look and it seems the existing package on NuGet works fine on my system in a new .NET 6 app. Are you using the latest version of visual studio? If you give me more information to allow me to recrate this error I'd be happy to look closer at it.

... I ran into the original problem in another project and indeed it was fixed by adding .NET 6 as a build target (interestingly that target had to be first in the list of targeted platforms) so the next release will include this additional target and hopefully resolve your original issue. See #1483 for details.
