Setup Guide
Note
Older Corruptovania releases before 1.2.1c require downloading the patcher seperately. See the previous version of this guide for more info.
Corruptovania can create and export randomized games for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption that is playable with Dolphin Emulator or on a real Wii/Wii U with a backup loader.
As Corruptovania is an unofficial fork of Randovania, do not expect official support for this.
That said, you may ask for help with setting up or playing the Randomizer in #corruption-help in the Metroid Prime Randomizer Discord server.
This guide assumes that you are using Windows 10 or later.
The randomizer is compatible with the standalone NTSC-U (R3ME01) and the PAL (R3MP01) versions of the game.
It is not compatible with the Metroid Prime: Trilogy version of the game.
Download and extract the latest Corruptovania release.
Dump your ISO image of the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption from disc.
You can follow these instructions to obtain the game's ISO image using a Wii or Wii U.
See Input Validation to check if the ISO image is correct and valid.
Warning
NKit ISO is not supported and will not work.
Launch Corruptovania and generate a seed for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption:
Play a new solo game in the Welcome tab → Metroid Prime 3: Corruption → Play → Select or make a new preset → Generate
When the game finishes generating, the Game Details window should appear.
If you would like to configure cosmetics, click Customize Cosmetic options.
To export the game, click Export Game. Follow the prompts to export your randomized game.
- For Input File (Vanilla Wii ISO), browse and select your dumped Metroid Prime 3: Corruption disc ISO.
- For Output File, browse and select a location to place the randomized game file.
Exporting as WBFS is recommended if you plan to play this on a Wii/Wii U. See Playing on a Real Wii or Wii U Console for more information.
Finally, play the exported game in Dolphin or your console's backup loader.
Enjoy!
Warning
Corruption Randomizer uses the same save slots as the official vanilla game.
Take care when deleting or overwriting save data!

To apply it, enable it in your preset: Game Modifications → Quality of Life → Enable MP3UpdateRandomizer-related fixes and improvement patches for Corruption, such as backing out of a flight destination, a menu HUD to prevent softlocks (Hold A, B, DPad-Down then Shake your Wii Remote and Nunchuk), allowing the peeks of some items via scanning certain objects, removing cutscenes, as well as various fixed crashes. Exporting the randomized game as WBFS is recommended if you plan to play this on a Wii/Wii U.
To play on a real Wii or Wii U console, you'll need to setup the Homebrew Channel, patched custom IOS, and a Wii backup loader.

Wii backup loaders need the game to be placed in a specific location on your portable drive.
On Windows, the file path the NTSC-U version is
X:\wbfs\Metroid Prime 3 - Corruption [RM3E01]\RM3E01.wbfs
The file path for the PAL version is
X:\wbfs\Metroid Prime 3 - Corruption [R3MP01]\R3MP01.wbfs
(Replace X with your portable drive's letter.)
