Description:

Environment Information:

  • Rocket.Chat Server Version: 3.9.3
  • Rocket.Chat App Version: 4.13.0.22100
  • Device Name: Samsung S20
  • OS Version: Android 11

Steps to reproduce:

Prerequisites - Be logged in at open.rocket.chat in the browser on computer and logged in on mobile app for the same server.

  1. Open mobile app with unread channels on top (for me it was 4 in total)
  2. Click back button (<) OR home button (□) on Android app to make the app close/disappear
  3. In computer browser go to rocket chat server.
  4. In computer browser read all the messages in one of the channels (e.g. dev). Make sure that the dev channel is no longer bold, meaning it doesn't have any unread messages.
  5. Close the browser - this step is optional
  6. On mobile phone click on the icon with Rocket Chat to make the app open again
  7. See that dev channel appears again on top in the unread channels section

Expected behavior:

dev channel does not appear in the list of unread channels and is moved to the read channels list instead.

Actual behavior:

Channel that has been read in browser still appears as unread on mobile app.

Additional context:

When manually refreshing the list (swipe down) on mobile app, the channel is moved below to the read list of channels.

#2660 has been closed and I expanded steps that need to be taken in order to reproduce it
