Description:

The unread messages 'red line' bar behavior is not 100% consistent for all cases (DMs and Rooms/Channels)

1. It never consistently appears. This means I spend extra time figuring out which messages are new and which are old.
2. It sometimes appears in a room I'm actively in when a new message appears. I'll be staring at the screen and see a new message appear, and a new "unread messages" red line. This is of no use and just adds noise.
3. Leaving a room and re-joining usually clears it, but doesn't always.
4. Sending a message does not reliably clear it either.

Expected behavior:

-> To appear whenever you go to a channel with unread history
-> To disappear when leaving the channel and going back
-> To disappear when viewing the unread messages and send one
