TRUE by default (historical alignment).

@MichaelChirico a lot of other files have been edited (for spaces). Could you please fix that?

@arunsrinivasan hmm had some obscure option on RStudio enabled which was stripping whitespace everywhere, sorry about that -- on a different-from-usual machine.

should be fine now.

@arunsrinivasan I'm getting an error on test 1621 -- is this what was fixed by this commit?
