PR is ready now, but the readthedocs CI fails and I can't quite figure out why. Looks like there is an error with the environment? If you have any hints how to solve it, I am happy to do it. |

This PR revises the "contributions" section and adds the "support" section to include the link to stackoverflow and clarify the outreach channels.
Apart from the docs, it adds stackoverflow to the github issue template and readme.
