I downloaded the dataset, unzipping it, there is no CatsAndDogs folder, but there is Cat and Dog folders

perhaps remove these checks:

directory = os.path.join(directory, "CatsAndDogs")
assert os.path.isdir(directory)

I changed it to use a URL rather than kaggle, so should be automatic.
