Fixes #4255 .

Description

This PR is used to update the default repo of bundle download and load functions. In addition, it also enhances the load function.

• New tests added to cover the changes.
• Integration tests passed locally by running ./runtests.sh -f -u --net --coverage.

• In-line docstrings updated.
• Documentation updated, tested make html command in the docs/ folder.
