What This Repo Contains

  • src/: the core book as Markdown chapters
  • ethos-foundations.pdf: PDF edition
  • media/: supporting images and assets

Reading Structure

The 80 pillars are grouped into four parts:

  1. Personal Foundation (1-20)
  2. Relationships and Community (21-40)
  3. Ethical Conduct (41-60)
  4. Spiritual and Philosophical (61-80)

Ethosism in One Paragraph

Ethosism is a secular worldview that provides explicit guidance on how to live with purpose, integrity, and long-term responsibility. It combines practical behavioral standards with a broad view of contribution across self, relationships, society, and future generations.

How It Differs from Secular Humanism

  • It is more prescriptive: a defined creed instead of mostly open interpretation.
  • It emphasizes generational duty as a core obligation, not just a personal preference.
  • It aims for a universal, repeatable framework with clear behavioral expectations.

For the complete chapter-by-chapter roadmap, use src/README.md.
