Great catch. However I think the right call here is actually just to say "FastMCP" rather than to make this dynamic.

Looks solid + minimal (and fixes the confusion in #3455). One small suggestion for the test assertion: instead of only |
Changed 'FastMCP 2.0' to 'FastMCP' per maintainer feedback. Dynamic version via fastmcp.__version__ still available via version flag.

Updated per feedback — the help text now just says "FastMCP" without any version number. Users can still get the version via @rar-file Thanks for the suggestion about the test assertion. Since we're removing the version from the help string entirely, the test now just checks for "FastMCP" presence which is correct. Greetings, saschabuehrle |

Replaced the hardcoded
"FastMCP 2.0"string in thecyclopts.Apphelp parameter with an f-string that readsfastmcp.__version__at import time. Theversion=kwarg already usesfastmcp.__version__, so this just makes the two consistent.Also updated the test in
test_cli.pyto assert"FastMCP"is present in the help text without checking a specific version number, matching the existing pattern used for theversionattribute.Testing
Confirmed the help text now shows the actual installed version. The existing test suite passes with the updated assertion.
