I like that! Would it be too much bother to separate projects and files to have separate recent lists? That would help when playing with models and projects :)

Well, in general it's possible with several ways, the simplest one is just to put models in the list end, or to add new menu. But there is still one start screen, so probably using one partitioned list is the options.
I guess it's for maintainers to decide.

can you add a setting for this? this one will be annoying if you import many files
i mostly export step with random naming then import to orca. my recent list will show only step files with this.
i export more than 50+ step files but only save 2-3 of them as 3mf
