H2D/H2S support#10780

@NoisyfoxTHANK YOU SO MUCH! |

great work! now there is so much things to fix for UI :D let me know if you need help on UI side or i can fix them in a separate PR |
There was a problem hiding this comment.
This way, you avoid pointing to non-existent documents (parameter/prime-tower) and would point to the generic prime tower, although the specific entries for each option would be missing, but that is something we can add later in another wikiupdate.
This "fix" the document validation issue.

Hi, Thank for your great work if you need testers im available. Best Regards |

Ahoj, |

@Noisyfox Can you also work on H2S support? I assume it should be fairly simple as it is the single extruder version of the H2D. |

Thank you so much for your time and work on this project. I would love to test. Thanks |
|
Thanks you so much! Would be great if you could add H2S as well. Would be happy to Betatest. Thanks! |

@Noisyfox is that possible to use webp in UI (ex. in combo box)? its already possible in printer selection dialog since its browser based I'm planning to upgrading all covers to 320x320px but it will add too much space there is no visible difference between them. here is files if you want to compare |

Уважаемый автор. Dear author. |
There is a "Checks" tab on top of this page, where you can find the build artifacts. |
|
Incredible effort-- can anyone confirm is it possible to print directly from a USB stick (export to USB, plug USB into the H2d and read file from USB) using this? If so I will buy an H2d today/tommorow and will happily help beta test this |
|
@mark8055 |
Thank you very much, you just likely sold an H2D for BBL :) But what I mean is can we do this with this new orca h2d support as well? I assume yes... but checking just in case so I can contribute towards beta testing and feedback |
|
Sorry, I’ve only sliced for the H2D using Bambu Studio so far. I won’t have access to the printer until Monday, but if you’re okay with waiting, I’ll test it then and share the results. |
|
With the version downloaded from Checks, Windows, both portable and non-portable, I get a crash with "Unhandled unknown exception; terminating the application" when I attempt to add the H2D. I captured video in case it helps. |
|
on macOS, when I first launched, it asked for permission to look in download folder 8 times, then started. After exiting and trying to restart, it asks 8 times again and no matter what I do it always crashes before it even opens a window. When I click allow or deny, instead of granting it to Orca Slicer it grants it to Orca Slicer Profile Validator. Btw 2 questions: Does one need to enable developer mode and thus LAN only on printer to use this? |
The crash should be fixed now. As for the gcode error, could you share the 3mf file? Thanks. |
Yes if you need to start the print directly from Orca you'll have to use dev mode on your printer. Otherwise you could export the gcode 3mf then print via a USB drive. (Or one could try sending the print to the printer then start the print on printer screen/bambu studio? I actually haven't try this yet. |

P2S и H2C также были бы хорошим дополнением |
|
debug_Tue_Nov_25_02_14_50_36104.log.zip added .3mf and log file @Noisyfox |
|
Make sure you've enabled LAN mode & dev mode on your printer. |
|
Ive just started using the newest build yesterday. Some things ive noticed;
|
Make sure you also turned on the dev mode on your printer. |
Ah yes I might have forgotten that step. I do recall reading that somewhere before. Ill try that and report back |
Unfortunately it doesnt work. It sends, but then it will fail to start the print stating that the file name or path is invalid. |
Also make sure you unchecked the "Use legacy network plugin" in Orca preference. |

Id like to note some observations having used this build for a couple prints. Ive noticed that the nozzle temp behaviour of the nozzle not in use is different from bambu, and i think is resulting in print quality issues. Ive noticed when starting a print, the nozzle with the color in use will be heated to temp, loaded and starts printing. But the other nozzle is kept at 140c while idle when in bambu it would be cooled to 0. Similarly when its time to use the other nozzle, it heats to target temp, loads, purges, primes and prints. But the now the first nozzle is kept still at printing temp when it normally is cooled to 0 in bambu studio. Because of this, both nozzles are kept at target temp the remainder of the print and its causing print quality issues. Also, preheating of the second nozzle seems to occur only once the layer is complete rather than occuring while the current layer is being completed, but this isnt as big a deal as the first issue. Apologies if any of these have been noted before and please dont take this as critique of the work done. Im just trying to get the best print quality out of orca |
I can also confirm a difference in temperature handling between Bambu Studio and Orca. When switching away from TPU, the prime tower pass would also perform a cooldown towards 140. With Orca both hotends were always staying at/near printing temp. This was a few builds ago and at the time I assumed it had something to do with the recent firmware, but given another pointing this out, it may be a legit issue. |

@Noisyfox H2D profiles are not honoring any increase to max flowrate for any filament profiles (Bambu / Generic / etc). The value that gets edited is the first of two saved in the json. I'm assuming the second is for HF, but that's not selectable, so we get stuck with the HF value that can not be edited perhaps? edit |
That dialog for preferences doesn't show up on my Orca Slicer. It's just the standard dialog, all preferences on one dialog, no tabs, no "Online" section, no option to disable old network plugin... |
|
Any chance of H2C support? BambuStudio is AWFUL. Especially the auto arrange. Ugh |
H2S doesn't show in Orca yet so you're a bit hopeful. |
I don't see why it is hopeful. You would think by now there would be support. |
|
You might think thete would be H2S or H2D support by now but there isn't yet - so I consider support for the latest to be hopeful when the first H2 isn't there. It doesn't matter what you think might be there by now... |
Nobody asked you what you thought was hopeful. So there is that. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ |
|
Hey thanks for building this! May I ask what the release status is though? The build artifacts on this PR are expired and I can't currently find an installable version with H2D support |
|
That was quick. Thanks a ton @discip! |
Since the PR is merged, you can just use the latest Nightly version (feel free to find and report bugs). |
|
Has there been any movement on the H2C yet? Also, what does PR stand for? Thanks |
|
@Noisyfox hello, I found a bug with 2026.March.21.03.51.2.mp4That's an example with an IDEX printer by Flashforge, where left and right toolheads have similar printable area restrictions. It is expected that extruder must always be manually specified by user by assigning a color corresponding to the left or right extruder (Right click → Change filament or 1/2 num hotkeys). Could you look into it? Here's the profile: |

IMPORTANT NOTICE
<orca config folder>/system/folder first, otherwise the latest profile update might not take effect (such as crash during startup, or not able to find certain printer models in the list). Also it's a good idea to always backup your config folder before trying any dev builds.HOW TO download the test builds:
Huge PR that cherrypicked everything Bambu did for H2D/H2S support. Thanks BambuLab!
