This was already approved here: #5514
After rebaseing the feature branch, dev-feature-disable-TLS-certificate-verification, I lost the commit made by this PR into the feature branch. As a result, I rebased the dev-feature-disable-TLS-certificate-verification branch as well and merged it again into the feature branch.
