Describe the bug

Updated from 24.05 to 24.11 and qutebrowser stopped playing mp3 notification sounds, so i opened qutebrowser/qutebrowser#8415 thinking the issue was with the browser itself, as others worked.
But as mentioned at qutebrowser/qutebrowser#8415 (comment) feels like the mp3 codec is missing:

As far as i know it shoud be enabled by default:

Open google chat (from the gmail app), allow notifications and test notifications.

Expected behavior

The notification sound plays.
