Describe the bug
I downloaded my Essential Foundation (EF) collection which has some mods that use binary patches. I then swapped over to another profile without any of the mods enabled (but they were still installed), and I downloaded my New New Vegas Non-Premium (NNVNP) collection. Both collections use a lot of the same mods, but some mods (like JIP LN NVSE Plugin - INI, Quality of Life (QOL) - INI, and Better Trap Disarm) use different binary patches between the two collections.
Theoretically, I believe the user should be prompted to "Replace" or "Install as Variant" considering the .ini files are different between both collections. I was not prompted to "Replace" or "Install as Variant". Furthermore, two of the three binary patches did not apply at all and remained the same when I installed the second collection. This means that some of the .ini files were left unchanged and the binary patches didn't function. This of course also means certain settings and features will not function for the NNVNP collection.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Be on version 1.16.0-BETA.3 of Vortex.
- Attempt to download the Essential Foundation collection for Fallout New Vegas.
- Take note of the JIP LN NVSE Plugin - INI, Quality of Life (QOL) - INI, and Better Trap Disarm .ini files (as these .ini files are different between both collections).
- Create a new Vortex profile (as you keep the mods and the other profile untouched).
- Install my New New Vegas Non-Premium (NNVNP) collection.
- You will not be prompted to "Replace" or "Install as Variant" for those three mods despite the .ini files being different between both collections.
- Those three mods may either remain the same as in the Essential Foundation collection, or they will be completely overwritten with the New New Vegas Non-Premium (NNVNP) collection. Effectively speaking, one profile will remain incorrect (or potentially even both profiles will be incorrect if only one or two of the binary patches apply).
Expected behavior
- If a user has a mod installed in any possible manner (through a collection or their own mod list), then when a user downloads a collection which contains a binary patch to a mod the user already has, then the user should be prompted to "Replace" or "Install as Variant".
- If a user installs a collection and keeps the mods, then installs another collection, then not only should the user be prompted to "Replace" or "Install as Variant", but ALL binary patches should correctly apply (rather than one or two binary patches not applying).
