However, it's important to include a test for any new features added to the codebase. This will ensure that if the file is refactored in the future, the new feature will remain functional. |

Maybe it even should have an opt-in or opt-out toggle for this feature, but it's up to @henon / @Mr-Technician on the design decision. |

If the normal date picker doesn't have a toggle for the highlight (I am not sure off the top of my head) then I think we won't need it here. |

You are right. I added an additional test.
This was also the opinion here #4460. Since the parameter doesn't exists for normal DatePickers I didn't add it. |

Highlight the current date the same way it is highlighted in "normal" date pickers
If the current date is between start- and enddate, the highlight changes from a circle to a square to keep the background-color of selected days consistent
