Summary

tvOS is an iOS-based platform that is at the same time very similar and very different from it. For a start, WebKit is not available on tvOS, and its remote control-based input model and platform restrictions make it impossible to treat it it as just iOS on a big screen.

In this breakout session, I'd like to cover the work that we at Igalia have been doing to enable parts of Chromium on tvOS (as well as what we explicitly do not want to or cannot achieve) and discuss the design, embedding and platform challenges of making the web accessible on tvOS.
