AV at first launch, when connections are empty #2201

Description

Description

When I press the Cancel button on a freshly installed .deb version, the Access Violation dialog shows.

  1. If I press Ok, the main window flashes briefly and it exits
  2. If I press Abort, as expected, it just exits.

HeidiSQL version

12.11.1.167

Reproduction recipe

Forgot to mention: System is Ubuntu 25.04 64b with GNOME

  1. Install from the provided 12.11.1.167 .deb from the main site
  2. Run the application
  3. Press the Cancel button

EDIT I've now tested this with my own compiled version under Linux and Windows and the issue is consistent across them all.

Dumb question: Is there a place where you have a log file? The error is not apparent from the GUI interaction alone. And I kinda feel dumb because I don't have anything useful to add in terms of what's happening 😦
