An eccentric overhaul for Sarasaland’s princess.

Extra special thanks to Askew, Suddy, WuBoy, Mad Villain, chrispo, naps, Peardian, and Glithware for their assistance in making this possible!


General

Daisy has had a large amount of her animations adjusted, with the goal of leaning more into her spunky and energetic personality, as opposed to carrying over some of Peach’s more dainty and elegant motions. These new animations additionally have better consideration for skins that swap out her dress for more athletic outfits, which you may find fit her new abilities quite well…

There are too many to name, so please try her out yourself and see what’s new!

Special Attacks

Crystal Smash! (Neutral Special)

(!!!) Wait… huh?? Toad has been entirely replaced by a new move: Crystal Smash!
Inspired by Strikers, Daisy strikes with a crystalized fist to create crystals and send opponents flying. The model for her gauntlet is used with permission from Glithware, so thanks a bunch!

  • When performed on the ground, Daisy will strike the earth and summon crystals that sprout from the ground around her
  • When performed in the air, Daisy will leap forward before descending diagonally with her strike
    • The descent spikes opponents and links into the finishing blow, given Daisy subsequently hits the ground
    • When landing, a cluster of crystals will form around Daisy in the same manner they do for the grounded version of the attack (only slightly weaker)
    • The descent can be canceled into a wall jump
  • This move carries momentum, can be reversed during the startup, and can be edge-canceled
  • Kirby has it too!

Vegetable (Down Special)

  • (!) Daisy has switched from pulling turnips, to carrots! This new vegetable is a callback to Mario Land 2, but it isn’t just for show! The model for the carrot is provided by Peardian, with permission.
  • [R] The pulled item no longer has random strengths it can be assigned; There is only a singular strength of carrot that can be pulled
  • [R] There is still a small chance to pull an item, but the possible items have been changed
    • Mr. Saturn -> Soccer Ball
      • When pulling a soccer ball, it will immediately drop to Daisy’s feet
    • Bob-omb -> Fire Flower
    • Beam Sword -> Beast Ball
    • Of the 0.62% chance to pull an item, the RNG weight has been standardized such that each individual item has an approximate 0.2% chance of being pulled at any given instance (on paper anyway)
  • (!) The carrot’s hurtbox has entirely reworked behavior, and can be launched by attacks from both Daisy and the opponent
