Walkthrough

This change updates the logic for generating unique parameter names in the action editor, introducing a specific naming scheme for ActPublishArtifacts actions. Additionally, it enhances validation and user messaging in the ActPublishArtifacts class, clarifying artifact upload requirements and removing file size checks during execution.

Changes

File(s) Change Summary
Ginger/Ginger/Actions/ActionEditPage.xaml.cs Updated GetUniqueParamName to generate "Artifact N" parameter names for ActPublishArtifacts, using a numeric suffixing scheme.
Ginger/GingerCoreNET/ActionsLib/ActPublishArtifacts.cs Improved validation and messaging for artifact uploads, clarified descriptions, and removed file size checks from the execution method.

Poem

A rabbit hopped through code so neat,
Naming artifacts can't be beat!
"Artifact One," "Artifact Two,"
Each name is shiny, fresh, and new.
With checks improved and errors clear,
Uploading files brings us cheer!

Ginger/Ginger/Actions/ActionEditPage.xaml.cs (1)

927-930: Special parameter naming for artifact publishing actions looks good.

The implementation correctly handles unique parameter naming specifically for ActPublishArtifacts actions, generating names prefixed with "Artifact " followed by an incremental number. This customized naming convention improves readability and makes the parameter's purpose clearer to users working with artifact publishing.

Ginger/GingerCoreNET/ActionsLib/ActPublishArtifacts.cs (3)

68-68: Improved action description for better clarity.

The updated description clearly explains that the action uploads artifacts at the end of execution, which helps users understand when the artifacts will be published.

72-72: Enhanced use case explanation for better user guidance.

The updated recommendation provides clearer context on the action's purpose, specifically mentioning its use for centralized HTML report integration and explaining that it can handle artifacts generated outside of Ginger.

85-97: Good validation of logger configurations for artifact publishing.

These added validation checks ensure the necessary prerequisites are configured before attempting to publish artifacts, preventing failures and providing clear error messages to guide users on enabling the required settings.
