Putting on my biologist hat - It's not just that obligate anaerobes do fine without oxygen, it's that oxygen is bad for them. I was trying to reflect that. Maybe "an anaerobe that cannot grow in normal concentrations of oxygen" Using "an anaerobe" instead of "an organism" was, I thought, the proper way to write an ontology definition, i.e., using the immediate parent class in the definition. Is that not the case? What is the definition of microaerophile you want to use? "an anaerobe that can tolerate low levels of oxygen" I'm not sure i see the difference. Do you want to add "aerotolerant" to the ontology? |
