From a code review perspective this looks good to me. However, I did not test the new version. So, I will leave this unmerged until someone can test. Thanks @mitchelsellers

I did test a clean install and created one document, I don't have a good test bed for upgrades but the changes look pretty save here. |

Same here, I tested clean install and it seemed ok, I don't have any upgrade situations though to test. |

I pushed one small set of updates to add an automated build so we can properly grab artifacts from builds. But given the way GitHub works, we will need to test after merging. |

did some testing clean install and upgrade.. all fine.. In host - extensions it show an avalailable upgrade version 8.3.1. Is this correct?

@wbonekamp that is most likely due to the nature of how the update service works, if someone created a 8.3.1 build on their own it may appear here. |

Changes Included
This is a change to remove calls to obsolete methods and should provide support for DNN 10.x operations. For testing purposes I've attached an installer, but please note it is NOT yet fully tested so use with caution!
This change also updates to remove the dependency on MSBuild Community Tasks to allow building with VS2026.
