The update to 3.0.4 did not fix the pagination problem for me but broke my frontpage (is only loaded half, a critical error is shown, Hestia theme).
Had to deactivate the plugin.
I try to figure out why my frontpage breaks and come back with information.

With the companion plugin deactivated a lot of sections of the frontpage (Hestia theme) are just missing. So i guess they depend in the plugin. I saw that my PHP version was 8.2 so i updated to the recommended 8.3. No change.
I checked out my other site in our multisite environment with the same theme and everything same but different content. Funny enough. There the frontpage was not broken but the site with the post type grid shows an critical error.
I went back to version 3.0.3. My frontpage on the on site and the site with post type grid on the other site works again. On one site the post type grid is not shown at all, on the other site the posts shown with post type grid are looking worse than ever and the pagination doesn´t work.
Let me know if i can give you any further information.
