Describe the bug
Additional spaces are displayed in the Visual Editor when adding a link to text content. The bug appears to be only a display issue while in the dashboard and the extra spacing does not render on the page when viewed on the front end.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add a link to a text selection.
2. Save changes.
3. See the additional spacing on the text.

Expected behavior
The additional spacing should not show on the link element.
