functions.sh generate_appimage fails to work in a CentOS 7 Docker container: failed to open /dev/fuse #144

Hi,
I downloaded the functions.sh script from this repo, ran it (with . /functions.sh) and ran generate_appimage and it gave the error message:

Could not mount AppImage

yum install -y git gcc gcc-c++ xz libtool make bzip2 perl wget sudo squashfs-tools fuse fuse-libs fuseiso lzma \
yum-utils gtk-doc epel-release libffi-develIf relevant my AppDir is /AppDir.
