The workshop on “Visualising species occurrence and quantifying population change” is organised by the Aberdeen Study Group and Coding Club from the University of Edinburgh. We will meet on the 3rd of April from 9:00 to 11:30 in Room ZB18 in the Zoology Building, University of Aberdeen.
The workshop will present a friendly and supportive environment in which we can all advance our R coding skills.
You will learn how to work with big datasets (GBIF and Flickr), how to do efficient and reproducible data manipulation with package dplyr and how to visualise spatial data using ggplot2 and ggmap.
No previous knowledge of R is required, all you need is a laptop with R and RStudio installed.
The workshop is free but there is a limited number of places so you will need to register at this link.
